Happy Sucky Monday! LOL! I know it’s been a while since my last post, but I really haven’t had too much to report. I do have some book reviews to get done, but those will have to wait for a bit. The back-to-school madness has begun, and I’m not sure if I am ready for my kids to go back or if I want them home with me a while longer. On the one hand, our schedules get all crazy when the kids are on holiday. I don’t get much work done, and my house is a constant mess. However, I can say I’m not looking forward to the endless homework, school projects, and complaining when it’s time for them to get up in the morning. LOL!
As far as my work-in-progress on the new book, Grimsley Hollow: The Search for Siren, it’s coming along and should be ready for fall release. The summer holiday has thrown me off course, but I am hoping to get it finished by the end of next month. I have to say this has been a tough book to write! I’m not sure why. I have always known what I wanted to happen in the book, but getting from Point A to Point B has been a struggle. My characters have been all over the place and keeping them in line has been a challenge. They have finally decided to behave and talk to me again, so I’m hoping this good run I’m having will last until the end. After this, I plan on writing a stand-alone book that will fall in the YA paranormal genre for kids ages 16 and up. A bit more mature with a darker edge.
I’m looking forward to autumn and cooler weather. The hot days have also taken a toll on me here in Georgia. I want college football, comfort food, and sweatshirts. I want Halloween, apple cobbler, and crisp days with beautiful fall leaves on the trees. It can’t come soon enough and I only hope we have an autumn season to enjoy this year! With GA weather, we can never tell.
I hope you all enjoy your Monday! Happy reading!!!!
